ABOUT

PXL_20230428_065855766~2.jpg

My journey to becoming a therapist started several years ago whilst working full time as a secondary English teacher. I put myself through night school at Newman University to gain the basics in counselling before moving on to gain practical experience as a telephone counsellor with Childline and then embarking on an MSc in Integrative Counselling with the University of Derby whilst working at several placements. Currently I work as an ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) offering support to those who've been abused on their journey through the criminal justice system. Further to this I have been on a number of retreats which enhances the strategies I can offer you when dealing in aspects of compassion and mindfulness. I have an ongoing and deep concern in regards to men's mental health, so if you are a man reading this, know that I stand shoulder to shoulder with you in your journey, and be assured this is an action of strength that you are undertaking.
